Home Assistant Green

Dedicated hardware for running Home Assistant. Plan individual integrations, Ethernet, backups and any additional radio hardware.

Documentation profile · By Admin · Source checked 18 October 2026. IoTPapa has not hands-on tested this model.

Choose the setup you want to maintain

Consider Green when you want a dedicated Home Assistant installation. Plan the devices, network, recovery process and people who will maintain it before choosing accessories.

A dedicated controller

Use a separate box for the automation platform when that suits the household. Green still needs an appropriate network, integrations and ongoing administration.

Choose radios deliberately

List the devices and protocols first. Include any additional radio adapter and setup work in the plan; do not treat the controller as a universal compatibility guarantee.

Own the recovery process

Decide who manages accounts, updates and backups. Keep a manual way to operate important household functions while the controller or network is unavailable.

Documented hardware

Processor

Rockchip RK3566 quad-core Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz

Memory

4 GB

Storage

32 GB eMMC

Connectivity

Gigabit Ethernet

USB ports

Two USB 2.0 Type-A host ports

Plan a small first setup

Write down one noncritical routine and the devices it needs. Set up the controller, record the integration settings, create a backup and check the supported recovery process. Expand only after another household member can use the everyday controls. This is a proposed evaluation, not a recorded IoTPapa test.

Compatibility and dependencies

Initial setup requires an internet connection. Check the exact Home Assistant integration for each device and distinguish local operation from cloud-dependent features. Additional radio hardware may be needed for the devices you choose; confirm the supported adapter, firmware and intended protocol before ordering.

Evidence and buying checks

The specification cards report manufacturer documentation. They do not measure performance, reliability, radio range or power use in your home. IoTPapa gives no product score until a published evaluation supports it.

For India, check the exact model, local seller warranty, returns, power connection, import charges and the full cost of any adapters or services. Availability and price have not been independently verified. No retailer or affiliate offer is presented here.

Compare the maintenance trade-off

Compare a dedicated controller with a board-based setup by including storage, power, enclosure, recovery and administration effort. Read the Home Assistant Green and Raspberry Pi comparison. Treat this as a research path, not an IoTPapa performance verdict.
