Viasat’s enterprise portfolio includes satellite IoT service families and legacy Inmarsat service names. Follow the current service documentation and the exact terminal/network combination so older names and newer offers are not treated as interchangeable.

Understand the documented role

IoT service families

The official portfolio distinguishes IoT Nano and IoT Pro. Different data and application requirements need a service-specific evaluation.

Legacy naming matters

Viasat’s portfolio explanation identifies IsatData Pro as IoT Nano in its renamed family. Older developer documentation may still use IDP; confirm the commercial offer and hardware generation.

Channel and delivery roles

Check who supplies the network service, terminal, solution integration, subscription and support for your actual deployment.

Questions for a useful deployment

Resolve the current name and version

Keep the offer name, legacy aliases, supported network/terminal and documentation revision together in the proposal.

Match payload and installation

Define message/data needs, delivery deadline, power, environment, antenna position and integration before selecting the service family.

Verify availability and cost

Get dated market/service confirmation and itemized hardware, usage, support and minimum-commitment terms. A portfolio statement is not verified site performance.

Before an enquiry

Use a short deployment brief with the required data, sites/routes, device context, operating roles, outage behavior and evidence you need. Confirm the actual contracting entity and support owner. IoTPapa does not represent this organization or assert a commercial partnership.

Evidence and availability

This is a source-based profile. Supplier statements are not independent measurements, an endorsement, a local-stock check or an India service authorization. Obtain current model/service/market evidence and test the actual installation before relying on a proposal.
